In this new mystery, we meet Alice Ott, a retired schoolteacher turned cyber sleuth, and she is determined to expose a deadly conspiracy in the nation’s Capitol. Alice mobilizes her friends, the Raging Grannies, and persuades her long-lost lover, the handsome microbiologist Gerard, to help her pursue the unsolved mystery of the 2001 anthrax letters attack. When Alice and her crew stumble on a bioweapons expert from the epicenter of the U.S. bioweapons hiding out in Vermont, they join forces to expose the true origins of the deadly anthrax letters. In taking on the most sinister players in this international cover-up, Alice, Gerard, and a small group of ordinary citizens bravely reveal the darkest secrets of biological weapons, and still make time for love.

Before starting a new life as a mystery writer, Dusty Miller spent many years as a psychotherapist, teaching nationally and internationally. She is the author of numerous articles and books about the impact of childhood trauma in the adult lives of survivors.
